The Common Assessment Framework for children and young people (CAF) is a shared assessment tool used across agencies in England to improve services. Most local authorities have now developed this tool (CAF) and it is also known by other names such as the ‘Early Help’ or ‘Early Interventions Assessment’. It was designed to help professionals develop a shared understanding of a child’s needs, so they can be met more effectively. It will avoid children and families having to tell and re-tell their story and will reduce duplicated information.
This course is designed for all staff working with early years children and will give them a detailed understanding of the process and how it can aid and support.
