If you have large groups of learners requiring this training we encourage the use of online training.

Description & Learning objectives

When you hit puberty your body and brain undergo some big changes. This is our bodies preparing for reproduction, both physically and emotionally. It’s important that during this period you know what is normal behaviour and what isn’t.

After this course you will be able to have healthy sexual relationships with your peers without the risk of breaking the law or putting yourself at risk of being hurt by others.

In this course we will look at:

  1. What happens to our bodies and our brain as we hit puberty and adolescence
  2. What the law says about sex and sexual relationships
  3. the meaning of ‘consent’ and the different types of consent we might come across
  4. What behaviours are deemed to be appropriate experimental sexualised behaviours within our age group and how this can be done without harming others or placing ourselves at risk of breaking the law
  5. What ‘sexting’ means and what the law says specifically about this
  6. The sending of pictures, either from online or that we take ourselves, and look at what the law says
  7. Where we can learn more about sex, relationships, and the law for any questions we haven’t answered or might have later on
