Child Sexual Exploitation is a subject that everyone is terrified by, however, it is unfortunately a very real and present danger. No child deserves to have their childhood taken away from them through exploitation, and the protection of our youngest and most vulnerable children is of paramount importance.
This course will enable staff to gain a knowledge of the wider issues that surround child sexual exploitation, the types of abuse out there, and how they can prevent, help, and support victims.
It is important to note that this course doesn’t and cannot ‘directly’ apply to the children in early years settings. However, with the increase in teen parents, there is the indirect impact on the child should the teen parent be subject to exploitation either by a partner or a more organised group.
