We are lucky to be living in a rich and diverse society and caring for children from a variety of backgrounds and languages other than English. Whilst this is exciting, it can also present challenges.

This course will help you to devise strategies to support multilingual children and will look at how to support the development of their language and communication skills.



The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To understand communicating and working with parents
  2. To understand simple communication strategies
  3. To be able to make observations and involve other professionals
  4. To be able to support the children in the setting and make observations
  5. To know how to complete essential paperwork

This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.

Upon booking this course, we will discuss the learning objectives and outcomes you wish to achieve based on the children in your care. We can provide you with an advanced version for seniors or managers or facilitate a train the trainer course.
